House Prices in Spain

Interesting: according to Idealista, house prices on average rose in the 4^th quarter of last year across the 21 districts of Madrid and the 10 districts of Barcelona.

More interesting: according to Idealista, last quarter was the first end-of-year quarter that the average sale price has risen across the districts of Barcelona and Madrid since 2006.

It might be clutching at straws but you would think that the capital cities would lead the recovery in house prices in  Spain and this is the first time in years that we have seen this sort of movement.

It just may be that the corner has been turned.

We’ll look at the data for the first months of 2014 very carefully to see whether this trend continues
